Who we are

I AM STILL SOMEBODY is a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization that is community-rooted to restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity to individuals and families across Georgia. Founded by visionary leader Tamala LaShae-Harps, the organization exists to remind every person regardless of your age, circumstance, or struggle that your life still holds value, purpose, and potential.

Through innovative programs in mental health, senior care, youth empowerment, economic development, and community support, I AM STILL SOMEBODY works to bridge the gap between need and access. From feeding families and providing senior resources under the Older Americans Act (OAA), to empowering young entrepreneurs and supporting individuals on the path to self-sufficiency, the organization serves as both a lifeline and a launchpad.

We believe transformation begins with belonging. By partnering with local agencies, businesses, and community leaders, I AM STILL SOMEBODY is building sustainable solutions that heal hearts, strengthen families, and uplift entire communities one person at a time.

Because no matter what life has taken or time has changed… you are still somebody.
